Genya Safin, a beloved character of Season 2 of Shadow and Bone, is back in the picture (Daisy Head).

The best-selling Grishaverse novels by Leigh Bardugo, including as the Shadow and Bone trilogy and the Six of Crows duology, were adapted into the fantasy series.

Season 2 will debut on March 16, 2023, after the season 1 launch last year.

As the Sun Summoner Alina Starkov (Jessie Mei Li) continues her conflict with the mysterious General Kirigan (Ben Barnes), Shadow and Bone will also focus on Kaz Brekker (Freddy Carter) and his Crows' more heist-focused narrative.

In a recent photo from TVLine, the Grisha tailor Genya can be seen hunched over the Queen of Ravka.

She appears extremely upset. This is Genya, the Queen from Season 2 of Shadow and Bone, in her first public appearance.

Genya's reintroduction to the narrative and the visceral tension between her and the Queen in this picture immediately elicit many fascinating thoughts about what the upcoming episodes of the series will entail.

In front of their friendship, Genya revealed to Alina that she is a spy and soldier for the Darkling and that she supports the extent he would go to defend Grisha.

After discovering the full scope of what the Darkling did to Alina and what he intends to do with his new army of dangerous creatures from the Shadow Fold, Genya might not feel this way, though.

In Shadow and Bone season 2, Genya's allegiances will be divided between Alina and the Darkling, particularly after discovering what transpired between them in the Shadow Fold and even more so if the reality of what Genya did to the King is revealed.
