On July 4, 2023, Tom Segura: Sledgehammer, a brand-new Netflix stand-up special, is scheduled to debut on the streaming service. Tom Segura, an actor and New York Times bestselling book, will perform the play in front of more than 700,000 spectators during the course of his 21-month-long “I’m Coming Everywhere” world tour.
Tom Segura, a comedian, admits in the first teaser for his upcoming Netflix special Sledgehammer, which launches globally on July 4, that he was “very, very excited” to dial 911. Have you ever been eager to call and thought, “Finally! A decent one! “This is why we play the game,” kind of thing?”
Segura continues with a tale that committed fans will be familiar with: “I call, the operator says, ‘911,’ and I’m so agitated that I say, ‘Get. F***ing. Ready.‘…You need cops, firefighters, or paramedics, he asks. I exclaim “Paramedic! Send everyone.
Ryan Polito, a filmmaker nominated for a Primetime Emmy, is in charge of the programme. In addition to The Price is Right (1972), the Disney Parks Christmas Parade (2010), and the Disney Parks Christmas Show (2012), Ryan is renowned for producing a number of other television programmes.
The highly anticipated stand-up special’s official trailer, which Netflix recently published, has managed to become viral online. Tom Segura: Sledgehammer is a welcome surprise because the actor’s supporters have been vocal about wanting to see him in more projects after watching his performance in critically acclaimed programmes like The Cabin with Bert Kreischer and Workaholics.
The stand-up special, which will be the first of two specials from Segura’s partnership with Netflix to debut, is eagerly anticipated by fans. Tom Segura: Sledgehammer will amuse viewers with a variety of other jokes, puns, and humorous encounters.
As was already mentioned, the first of Segura’s two Netflix series, Tom Segura: Sledgehammer, will debut in the coming months. However, this is not Segura’s first time working with the streaming service; he has previously appeared in a number of comedy specials there. The comedian will work with the streaming service a total of five times starting with the forthcoming comedy special.
The comedian’s other comedy specials, including Completely Normal (2014), Mostly Stories (2016), Disgraceful (2018), and Ball Hog (2020), are all available on Netflix for anyone to watch. The stand-ups have been praised all around the world for their sincerity and openness, so it’s not surprising that Segura will return for another special given the response from audiences.
In the trailer, he tells about their last conversation before his father passed away, and his comedic portrayal shows that shortly after their last conversation, he passed away. He describes his first-time hospital visit and his experiences there. He described it as a novel encounter.
He continued by describing how strange it is if someone is dying without a murdering conspiracy. The audience clearly appreciates it because their enthusiastic clapping can be heard.
Then he describes his wonderful discussion with his father:
Dad: What haven’t I told you, exactly?
He yelled, “Now!”
There is a treasure buried in the backyard that is only for you, he reasoned.
He actually commented, “I enjoy the full bush on a lady,” but your mother keeps cutting her!”
Why are you telling me this, Tom questioned?
Dad: Who am I supposed to tell this to?
Then he passed away!
