Even Stranger Things must be put to an end because everything wonderful does. The fifth season of the popular Netflix bioinformatics thriller, which has been streaming since the summertime of 2016, will complete the series. The news was revealed by the original producers, Matt and Ross Duffer, in a heartbreaking letter to viewers on February 17.

They stated, “We mapped out the whole story arc of Stranger Things seven years ago. We anticipated the plot would span 4 to 5 seasons back then. We are now hurdling toward our conclusion since it proved to be too big to convey in four parts. Season 5 will be the final season, with Season 4 serving as the penultimate season.

When will Season 5 of Stranger Things debut?

Although it’s too soon to make a prediction, we may use previous seasons as a guide. The season 4, which has been released in two parts on May 27 and July 1, took roughly two years to make, according to what the Duffers claim in their letter. While producing a massive finale season will probably necessitate a lengthy wait, filming ST4 during in the altitude of the pandemic and lockdown undoubtedly involved its own delays. The earliest ST5 will likely appear is in later 2023, if not early in 2024.

This notion was all but validated by David Harbour. “I believe that we will shoot next year. They’re wrapping up the screenplay on it this year, so maybe it will come out this year, he told GQ. “But I believe that’s the strategy. Given our past performance, it would most likely release in the middle of 2024.

Will there be sequel to Stranger Things?

Yes, however we are not  sure what it will be about yet. (However, Finn Wolfhard seems to have worked it out already.)

According to Ross Duffer of Variety, “there’s a version of it evolving in tandem [to season 5], but they wouldn’t film it concurrently.” “I believe actually we’re going to start diving into it shortly as we’re winding down and finalising these special elements, Matt and I are going to be getting into it.”

Matt Duffer said, “It’s going to be very different than what everyone is anticipating, even Netflix.” Interesting, for sure.
