Story

The movie begins with a flashback to Mr. Miyagi’s original dojo, where a hidden scroll containing the most advanced martial arts techniques passed down through the generations is revealed. Now a seasoned karate master, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) finds the scroll in the present day. He learns that the scroll holds the key to a powerful technique that could bring balance or unleash chaos if it falls into the wrong hands.

Joshua Jackson plays Victor, a young and talented martial artist who battles pressure to follow in his father’s footsteps while living in the fast-paced city of New York. The violent style of Victor’s father, a well-known martial artist, is in stark contrast to Mr. Miyagi’s teachings. Following his father’s untimely death, Victor finds himself lost and turns to Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), an enigmatic figure who happens to be Mr. Miyagi’s longtime friend, for advice.

Victor discovers the meaning of the scroll while he trains under Mr. Han’s guidance. In the meantime, Ms. Morgan (Shaunette Renée Wilson), a formidable rival and past champion, searches for the scroll for her own gain, hoping to utilize its strength to rule the martial arts community. Plot Summary
