Story

Rory and Cobby, two reluctant partners in crime, are at the center of the action-packed criminal comedy “The Instigators,” starring Matt Damon and Casey Affleck. Following a failed robbery, the two need to resolve their tense relationship in order to remain hidden. They seek the assistance of a therapist in the hopes that expert mediation will enable them to set aside their disagreements and collaborate productively.

Plot Summary
Cobby and Rory, two reckless criminals, find themselves in a difficult situation when their planned robbery goes horribly wrong. They have no choice but to run and hide from view when the authorities close in. But they run the risk of failing because of their discordant personalities and incessant arguments. In a desperate move, they kidnap a therapist, believing that she can help them resolve their issues and forge a more effective partnership. As they navigate a series of comedic and action-packed encounters, the unlikely trio must find a way to stay one step ahead of the law and, more importantly, themselves.
