Story

Three best friends, Timmy (Reed Northrup), Jimmy (Austin Zajur), and Brian (Nicholas Cirillo), spend their weekends going to different theaters. This was in the summer of 1986. When Brian asks Melody Barnegat (Siena Agudong) to join them on their adventure, their routine is upended in an effort to impress Melody. The group faces personal struggles and discovers important truths about themselves and one another as they work through a series of humorous and emotional situations. The 4:30 Movie perfectly captures the spirit of 80s nostalgia and the bittersweet journey of growing up, with the help of a group of eccentric theater employees that include the mysterious Damocles (Diedrich Bader) and the overzealous Usher (Genesis Rodriguez). Manager Mike (Ken Jeong) is always keeping an eye on things.

Plot Summary

The 4:30 Movie is a coming-of-age comedy that takes place in the summer of 1986 and centers on three friends who are sixteen years old and spend their Saturdays sneaking into the neighborhood multiplex to see movies. Every adolescent faces unique difficulties and gains valuable life experience in the process. The storyline changes when one of the friends asks his ideal girl to go to the movies with them. This invite sets off a chain of events that teach them valuable lessons about friendship, love, and maturing.
