Story
“Never Let Go” centers on the Compton family, who have spent years under the control of a malevolent spirit. The family’s initially safe house turns into a terrifying battleground as the spirit is presence grows stronger. When Tyler, one of the twin boys, starts to doubt the existence of the evil that has befallen them, their safety and sanity are put under even more jeopardy. As they face their worst fears and consider the possibility that their suffering may only be imagined, the family’s once strong bond is put to the test.
Plot
The Compton family has lived in constant fear of a dark presence they interpret as a vengeful spirit because they live in a remote home. Their lives revolve around elaborate rituals and precautions to keep the entity at bay. The practice of tethering one another with ropes, a metaphor for their unbreakable bond, represents the family’s strength: their unity.
Nevertheless, the family’s delicate balance is upset when Tyler Compton (Percy Daggs IV) starts to question the spirit is existence. The spirit is power intensifies and their house becomes a terrifying maze as his sister (played by Mila Morgan) and their parents (played by Halle Berry and Anthony B. Jenkins) fight to uphold their protective customs.
Tyler’s misgivings set off a chain of horrific events that make the family face their deepest anxieties and doubt their own sanity. They have to face the horrifying prospect that their protection may be a façade and that their own incapacity to trust one another poses the true threat as the evil’s power grows.
