Story

Detective Alex Mercer is a well-respected policeman in a high-tech, strictly regulated society who is well-known for his perfect record and commitment to justice. His life abruptly changes after he is unjustly charged with killing a well-known politician. Alex becomes a wanted man after all the evidence points to him and his colleagues turning a blind eye. Alex enlists the assistance of Dr. Eliza Bennett, a gifted but reclusive hacker with a troubled past, and Sarah Brooks, a journalist willing to risk everything for the truth, as he struggles to stay ahead of the unrelenting AI-driven police force. Together, they unearth a plot that lies at the core of the government’s authority over the people it governs. They have to work their way through a maze of lies, corruption, and strong enemies who want to silence them as they race against time to identify the true offenders and demonstrate Alex’s innocence.
