Nate Ryan (Jeremy Ford) goes back to his birthplace of Bundy Canyon to pay his father Gene (Steve Guttenberg) a final farewell. He is immediately thrown back into his difficult past and intricate family dynamics once he arrives. Nate struggles with unresolved issues and tries to make peace with his estranged father with the help of Amal (Hollie Bahar), a hospice nurse with a penchant for direct honesty. As old wounds are reopened and buried secrets come to light, Nate’s journey becomes a poignant exploration of family, forgiveness, and the complexities of human relationships.

Plot Summary

After spending years away from Bundy Canyon, Nate Ryan returns when he finds out his father, Gene, is not long from passing away. Though it starts out as a straightforward farewell, the visit soon turns into a turbulent trip through their shared history. Amal, the hospice nurse, pushes Nate to face the realities he has avoided and offers an unanticipated source of support. Nate starts to sort through the long-standing problems between him and his father with the help of Amal’s unvarnished viewpoint, which results in both painful revelation and hesitant reconciliation. Nate reconciles with former acquaintances and confronts the truth of his own life decisions in addition to the tense family dynamics.
