A Risk-Taker and a Medical Student Looking for Love

Brian, a dedicated entrepreneur managing a wine bar, was ready to take a leap of faith. With experience hosting speed-dating events, he believed this social experiment was a perfect fit.

Kylie, a busy medical student, had little time for dating but saw Love Is Blind as the ideal way to fast-track love and marriage.

“The idea of finding a husband and getting married in the short amount of time I had off from school sounded like something that could work for me,” she says.

Interestingly, Kylie had never even heard of Love Is Blind before she was approached to join Season 8. Her lack of research led to some amusing outfit choices that caught the internet’s attention.

Inside the Pods: Love at First Conversation

From their first conversation, Brian felt something special. Their connection felt natural, with humor, shared values, and similar small-town upbringings forming a strong foundation.

“After we aligned on the important aspects of life, we didn’t take things too seriously and just had fun together,” Brian says.

One of Kylie’s biggest deal-breakers? A potential partner who rooted for the Green Bay Packers. Luckily, Brian passed her “Vikings fan” test, and their relationship continued to flourish.

The Proposal That Almost Didn’t Happen

As their connection deepened, Kylie meticulously took notes and asked every important question. Though she hesitated about not getting her father’s approval beforehand, Brian’s proposal was an easy “yes.”

“It would’ve taken some catastrophe for us not to get out of there together,” Brian admits.

When the big reveal finally happened, Kylie and Brian had an idea of what to expect.

“We did say that we probably thought we would look like siblings,” Kylie jokes.

When they saw each other for the first time, the connection was instant.

“Oh, he’s cute,” Kylie recalls thinking.

While other couples jetted off to a romantic retreat in Honduras, Kylie and Brian weren’t selected to continue their journey on camera.

For Brian, it was a relief.

“It felt almost like a weight off our shoulders. Now we can do our own thing and figure out our lives on our own.”

Kylie, however, was a bit disappointed, wishing their love story had been featured more prominently.

“You do want to see your story reflected.”

Life After Love Is Blind: A Love That Defied the Odds

The couple didn’t let the show’s decision slow them down. As soon as filming ended, they shared a rom-com-worthy moment at the airport.

Kylie arrived early and realized Brian would miss his flight. In a spur-of-the-moment decision, she turned around, ran back down the escalator, and missed her flight too—choosing to stay with him instead. The couple spent the day bar-hopping at the airport before heading home together.

24 hours later? They booked their own romantic getaway to Mexico.

Where Are They Now?

After returning to the cold Minnesota weather, Kylie and Brian settled into normal relationship rhythms—weekend visits with family, trips to Texas to see Kylie’s sister, and spending time with friends from the Love Is Blind pod squad.

“We just do things that normal couples do,” Kylie says.

Unlike the other Season 8 couples racing to the altar, Kylie and Brian aren’t in a hurry to get married.

“We don’t have a time constraint. We’re just letting things happen naturally.”

As fans eagerly await the Season 8 finale, Kylie and Brian are watching along, enjoying the drama and surprises just like the rest of us.

“There’s a lot of cringe and a lot of learning about friends,” Brian laughs.

Though their Love Is Blind journey wasn’t fully shown on screen, their love story is stronger than ever. And while wedding bells aren’t ringing just yet, Kylie and Brian are proof that sometimes, love finds its own way—whether the cameras are rolling or not.
