Ukraine Seeks Western Allies' Intelligence on Presence of North Korean Troops
Ukrainian officials are now reportedly urging NATO allies to share information related to the supposed presence of North Korean troops in the conflict so far. This is happening at a time when fears are high over foreign military aid that Russia is said to be receiving, and war rages on.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov has voiced concern that Pyongyang forces may potentially assist Russia in fighting its own army. "We received information that North Korean military men participate in the conflict," Reznikov said. "We need our NATO allies to share any available intelligence able to inform us on the scope of this involvement.".
The demand for intelligence sharing reminds one that all these happenings are also part of Ukraine's strengthening efforts to arm itself versus a highly aggressive Russia.
