Harvey, 67, recently uploaded a recording to his X profile, which until not long ago was termed as Twitter, speaking earnestly about the importance of wholesome eating habits and regular exercise.
Seated outdoors with a refreshing beverage in hand, Steve imparted that he had ceased labeling his healthy practices negatively.
“Instead of dieting, I commit to ‘eating clean for 14 days.’ Clean eating is enjoyable. When you season your vegetables and fish just right, that’s what clean eating is all about,” he explained.
In a series of snippets, the distinguished Family Feud anchor could be seen engaging in a variety of workouts donned in headphones, a white sweatshirt, dark athletic pants, and trainers.
Asserting his optimistic mindset, Harvey stated, “I apply a positive twist to all my actions. The saying ‘working out’ sounds daunting, but ‘getting right’ has a hopeful ring to it. Don’t stress about it—it’s as simple as walking. If you’re blessed with the ability to walk, why not think about doing it more?”
During his post caption, he contemplated, “The Power of Positive Wording can shape your health journey!” Steve probed his audience about their own self-encouraging phrases, inducing an array of responses.
One individual responded, “To stay upbeat and treat others kindly,” while another appreciated the message, “I needed to hear this.”
Harvey’s determination for lifestyle modification has been long-standing. In 2007, he actively chose to pursue a healthier lifestyle for two specific reasons: his son describing him as an “old man” and his busy work agenda.
Steve revealed to Men’s Fitness Magazine, “My arms were flabby, lacking any curves or definition, and I grew weary of that sight.” With the guidance of Lee Haney, a former Mr. Olympia, Harvey managed to shed 30 pounds and radically change his outlook on living healthily.
He later created the 50 and Fly campaign with Haney to urge older gentlemen to embrace fitness and live their best life.
“I was the middle-aged man who had grown somewhat overweight, embraced a sedentary life, neglected to maintain muscle tone, did not stretch, made frequent stops at fast-food establishments, and smothered everything in butter. I was him,” he admitted to the publication.
Throughout his journey, Steve has experimented with an array of diets and even embarked on the Martha’s Vineyard detox—striving to lose 21 pounds over 21 days, comprising only of consuming broths and juices.
Steve chronicled his detox journey on X, stating on day seven that he felt invigorated and was successfully shedding pounds.
Presently, Harvey owns his nutritional supplement brand, L’Evate You, continuing his commitment to health and wellbeing.
