Trump Seizes on Biden's Remarks as Harris Dismisses 'Garbage' Controversy

Billionaire Mark Cuban took to X early Friday to apologize if his recent comments on The View upset female Trump supporters. During the appearance, Cuban had remarked, "you never see [Trump] around strong, intelligent women, ever," a statement that sparked backlash.

In his apology, Cuban clarified his intention, stating, "When I said this during the interview, I didn't get it out exactly the way I thought I did. So I apologize to anyone who felt slighted or upset by my response. As I said, it wasn't about Trump voters, supporters or employees, current or former." Acknowledging the brevity of the format, he admitted he set himself up for "the 6-sec soundbite," and added, "no excuses" with "skin thick enough" to take the criticism.

Before issuing his apology, Cuban had tried to clarify his remarks, noting that they were part of a discussion on why Nikki Haley wasn’t involved in Trump’s campaign. He emphasized that he knew many strong, intelligent women who support Trump, including members of his own extended family. "I’m certainly not saying female voters are not smart, strong and intelligent," he explained, adding that he recognizes Trump has worked with capable women like Elaine Chao, Kellyanne Conway, and Ivanka Trump. However, he maintained his belief that Trump does not appreciate being publicly challenged.
