Thomas Haden Church Joins Tires for Season 2

Thomas Haden Church is officially joining the cast of Tires, the hit Netflix comedy series co-created by Shane Gillis. Church’s role will debut in the highly anticipated second season, set to premiere in 2025. Following the success of the show’s first season, which was self-financed by Gillis, Netflix picked up the series as part of a larger deal that also includes a new stand-up special from Gillis, set to stream in 2025.

In this second season, Church will portray Phil, Shane’s wealthy, immature father who enjoys a carefree life in Florida. Phil, described as a grown-up version of Shane, owns multiple businesses and spends his days sipping margaritas, flirting with waitresses, and indulging in the pleasures of his semi-retirement. His character will add a fresh dynamic to the already colorful cast, bringing in a mix of humor and complexity to the story.

The Plot of Tires Season 2

Season 2 of Tires picks up with Will (played by Steven Gerben) and Shane (played by Gillis) attempting to expand their unexpectedly successful marketing venture. As they strive for greater heights, they must confront the personal and professional challenges that arise when growth comes at a cost. Church's character, Phil, adds another layer of chaos and humor, as his carefree attitude and questionable business decisions will provide both conflict and comedic relief for Shane and his friends.

Thomas Haden Church is no stranger to memorable roles, bringing a wealth of experience and star power to Tires Season 2. Since then, Church has become known for a wide range of roles in both film and television, including The Peanut Butter Falcon, Max, Spider-Man 3, and Easy A.
