Storyline

Willow, a 10-year-old girl, begins to question her isolated life in her family’s fortified compound deep in the English wilds after a series of strange events. Following her parents on a secret late-night trek to the heart of the ancient forest, she witnesses her father undergo a terrible transformation. This revelation ensnares her in the dark ancestral secret her family has desperately tried to conceal.

Decent little emotional romp. The Beast Within is a film a lot of people are certainly going to pass up and miss – I personally blame the marketing approach. This film, if going in with the correct mindset, will genuinely give you something to think about. This is a somber, dark emotional subject matter tackled successfully. Although there are some pacing issues and scenes that drag on too long, the film wraps things up masterfully, especially in the final stretch. It’s not a scary film but rather one that uses metaphors and symbolism to add a new twist to the werewolf subgenre. Go in with the right mindset and you may just have a good time.”
