Brands and businesses that use Twitter for customer support will be pleased to learn that DMs may now be found by searching for keywords.

Twitter has announced that users will be able to search their direct message (DM) inbox by keyword, which has been a long-requested feature.

The search function is now available to all Twitter users (web and app). Unfortunately, I do not yet have access to it, but I am aware that many others do.

How to use Twitter’s DM keyword search. In 2022, that’s exactly what you’d expect from any platform. Go to your mailbox, open the search bar, and start typing in your search terms.

You could only search DMs for people and groups up until now. A third option, Messages, will now appear.

Any messages containing that term, including conversations where the keyword is used numerous times, will be highlighted on Twitter.
