Tatum's Buzzer-Beater 3-Pointer Leads Celtics to 126-123 Overtime Win Over Raptors

In a thrilling game on Saturday night, Jayson Tatum hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer in overtime, leading the Boston Celtics to a 126-123 win over the Toronto Raptors. Tatum finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds, while Jaylen Brown contributed 27 points. Al Horford and Derrick White both added 18 points to help secure the victory.

The Raptors continued their tough stretch, losing their seventh straight game and still seeking their first road win of the season. Jakob Poeltl had a standout performance, scoring a career-high 35 points and pulling down 12 rebounds, while RJ Barrett added 25 points and 10 rebounds.

The game was tied at 112 in regulation, and Barrett had a chance to give Toronto the lead with a 3-point play, but he missed the free throw after being fouled by Brown. With the score still tied, Neemias Queta, starting in place of Jrue Holiday (knee injury), gave Boston the lead with a driving layup.

The Raptors did get a break late, winning a coach’s challenge on an out-of-bounds call, but Barrett’s driving layup was blocked by Queta, and the Celtics regained possession with 20.2 seconds left, ultimately securing the win.

Key Stat: The Raptors dominated in the paint, outscoring the Celtics 76-42 inside.

The Celtics improved to 11-3 and avoided their third home loss of the season. Next, the Raptors will host the Indiana Pacers on Monday, while the Celtics return to NBA Cup action on Tuesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
