Tamar Braxton “Almost Died” After Mysterious Accident Leaves Her Injured and Reflective

Singer and reality star Tamar Braxton is courageously sharing details of a frightening accident she endured recently—an episode that left her physically broken and emotionally transformed.

On Tuesday, August 19, Braxton took to Instagram to reveal she had suffered a serious mishap just two days earlier. In her heartfelt message, she disclosed that a friend discovered her in a "pool of blood" following the incident. With her voice weakened, she admitted, “I struggled to write this … I almost died.” The accident resulted in a fractured nose, missing teeth, and limited mobility as she grapples with both physical pain and uncertainty about how it occurred.

The singer’s emotional burden came through in her next confession: “As the days go by the worse it is … I don’t even know what happened to me.” These words reflect the confusion and dread she’s facing while healing.

Braxton’s social media post also carried a spiritual element: she shared a Bible verse from Proverbs 31 about strong women and used the song “Spirit Lead Me” by Clavier as her story’s soundtrack. Hours earlier, she had simply posted, “Thank you God for waking me up today,” underscoring her gratitude for survival.

This traumatic event comes amid previous health struggles Braxton has openly faced. She’s previously recounted hospitalizations, including a severe flu-like illness in 2022, and a public mental health crisis in 2020. In the context of her recovery, she pointed out that this accident sparked a profound change in her outlook: “the way I look at life now is totally different … as my health is on the mend my mental journey begins … pray for me for real.”

Despite being physically injured and mentally shaken, Braxton continues to move forward in her career. Earlier this year, she launched her tour with renewed vigor and recently appeared on the WeTV series The Braxtons—a project that honors her late sister Traci and documents her family’s continued bond.
