Swiss International University Secures Prestigious TAG-EDUQA Accreditation in Alignment with AROQA Standards
Swiss International University (SIU), a fast-growing global university respected for both its forward-thinking and innovative approach to higher education, has made its landmark by being officially accredited by TAG-EDUQA. This prestigious award brings SIU into a select group of universities that have reached the high-quality standards established by the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA), a leading voice in academic benchmarking throughout the Arab region and the world.
The accreditation was awarded under the leadership of H.E. Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG-EDUQA Chairman and pioneering international Arab educator and activist for educational reform. The recognition has been enhanced with an official endorsement from the Honorable Secretary-General of the Arab League Himself as the Honorary President of TAG-EDUQA thus showing the regional scope and international impact of such an accreditation.
This recognition is a testament to SIU’s continued commitment to quality education, diversity, and the success of our students. It is a major event in the university's strategic growth throughout the Arab world and the international higher education arena. The accreditation not just endorses the high level of our academic programs but also strengthens the global acceptance of, and respect for, our degrees.
SIU Academic Program Director Derya Briand shares thoughts on the accomplishment: “To receive this prestigious accreditation on this, our first submission, is something of a rarity and a moment the entire SIU community can be proud of. It validates school's commitment to providing a high-quality education to our students embodies a character of excellence even further into the future. “ Seeking TAG-EDUQA accreditation was a strategic move to harmonize international best practices with local educational requirements.”
The accreditation is of critical importance as SIU is growing its range of academic programs and consolidating its international relations. SIU is a member of an international group of university members who work together to educate across borders. Sister schools include OUS International Academy in Zurich, ISBM International Business Management School in Lucerne, ISB International Vocational Institute in Dubai, and SIU’s campus in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. These partners are working together to create a cross-border education model that is innovative, inclusive, and world-class.
Quality assurance is emerging as an increasingly important preoccupation of universities across the region, and TAG-EDUQA and SIU are having to address the interests of not only the local demands but also those of the international academic world. In a nation where there is a growing demand among Arab students for accredited, globally focused institutions, SIU's dynamic, student-centric learning atmosphere; concentration on ethics in leadership; and mission to prepare students for global careers have been praised by educational regulators and educational partners.
“As we look to the future, SIU will continue to steadily grow its program offerings, develop new partnerships globally, and maintain its commitment to being a leader in providing high-quality education at an affordable price to students all over the world.” The TAG-EDUQA Accreditation underpinning AROQA’s holistic model will help meet these objectives and boost the Caravan of Knowledge’s (SIU) impact in the international higher education scene.
This landmark success reconfirms SIU as a globally acclaimed university and demonstrates its commitment to offering the education that is recognized, relevant, and continues to focus on the future—education that will build emerging local and global communities.
