“Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere” Trailer Unveiled – Jeremy Allen White Channels The Boss

20th Century Studios has released the first full trailer for Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, offering a glimpse into Bruce Springsteen’s emotional journey while crafting his haunting 1982 album Nebraska. Starring Jeremy Allen White (The Bear), the project adapts Warren Zanes’s 2023 biography and is both written and directed by Scott Cooper.

Unlike typical musician biopics, this film starts after initial fame. It dives into Springsteen’s reflective period, as he records intimate demos on a 4-track in his bedroom and struggles with personal demons.

Critics and Bruce himself have praised White’s portrayal. The trailer shows him singing Born to Run with raw intensity. Springsteen called him “terrific” and welcomed the performance for capturing something fans will deeply recognize.

The ensemble includes:

  • Jeremy Strong as manager and producer Jon Landau
  • Stephen Graham as Douglas Springsteen, Bruce’s father
  • Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan
  • Odessa Young as fictional love interest Faye
  • Marc Maron and David Krumholtz portraying executive and producer roles.

Written and directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart, Black Mass) from Zanes’s biography, the film has Springsteen and his longtime manager Jon Landau as active collaborators. Principal photography took place across New Jersey, New York, and Asbury Park throughout late 2024.

The trailer's emotional weight and White’s chilling performance are already drawing Oscar buzz. Early observers hail this as a strong contender during awards season.

Deliver Me from Nowhere promises a powerful, emotionally resonant portrait of Bruce Springsteen’s artistic struggle and growth. With a veteran director, strong cast, and Springsteen’s seal of approval, this biopic could resonate far beyond fan circles. Catch it in theaters starting October 24, 2025.
