NBC’s Saturday Night Live is seeing a major cast overhaul as the show gears up for its 51st season. This week, two more key members, Heidi Gardner and Michael Longfellow, confirmed they will not return—joining a growing list of departures.

Heidi Gardner, a staple since 2017 and one of the longest-tenured current female cast members, announced her departure after eight seasons. Known for characters like Angel and her unforgettable Beavis and Butt-Head break, she hinted at “sketch fatigue” stemming from years at SNL and The Groundlings.
Michael Longfellow, who joined the cast in 2022 and was promoted to repertory player in Season 50, also shared his exit via Instagram—calling his SNL run “the best three years of my life” and thanking Lorne Michaels for life-changing opportunities.

These departures continue a broader wave, including Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, and writers Celeste Yim and Rosebud Baker all leaving this week.
