Princess Kate to Attend U.K. Remembrance Events as Queen Camilla Will Miss Ceremony
Queen Camilla will miss this year’s Remembrance weekend events due to a chest infection, Buckingham Palace confirmed on Saturday. The 77-year-old was scheduled to attend the "Festival of Remembrance" at London’s Royal Albert Hall and the Remembrance Sunday ceremony at the Cenotaph war memorial, both significant events for the British royal family. However, following medical advice, she will remain at home to ensure a full recovery and prevent any risk of spreading illness. The Queen Consort expressed her disappointment at missing the events.
Despite her absence, King Charles III and his daughter-in-law, the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, are expected to attend the ceremonies. Both Charles and Kate have faced their own health challenges this year, with the King revealing in February that he was diagnosed with cancer, though he has since returned to public life. Kate, who had been undergoing chemotherapy following cancer treatment earlier in the year, expressed relief in September that her treatment was now complete.
