Ambitious Plans By EA For The Next Battlefield Game
EA revealed during the call that DICE was producing their next game in the Battlefield franchise on a never-before-seen scale. EA also added, “The latest consoles with highly advanced tech have enabled the team to deliver a brand new vision for the franchise.” EA CEO Andrew Wilson also spoke about the game’s development is being done, as the call progressed.
“We have revitalized that whole studio [DICE] around the development Battlefield explicitly. We’ve given them an additional period of a year in developing the game … to guarantee that they can, in reality, put up a valid cutting edge vision around that game. DICE is one of the most capable studios on earth, and we’ve had the option to add administration from our EA Sports business in David Rutter who comprehends both live administrations and the thoroughness of truly developing the game. We’ve acquired ability from over the business who have truly supported our conviction and our trust in our capacity to dispatch that game one year from now, so parcels more to come in the following couple of months.”
EA had already disclosed that the new game in the Battlefield franchise will be out for PS5 and Xbox Series X and Series S in 2021. However, this is the only time when the company has truly revealed a time period to do so. This new game is just one out of the six expected games that the developer is planning to release for the latest consoles during April 2021 – March 2022 period. Besides, it will also release a revamped Need for Speed game that the company says will have some never-seen-before visuals.
