Peter Parker is a full-fledged Avenger in Spider-Man: No Way Home according to Tom Holland. In the upcoming Sony-Marvel film, Holland gets ready for his third performance outing as Spider-Man and his 6th overall appearance in the MCU. Since being introduced in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War as a secondary school understudy with spider-like superpowers, Peter Parker has logically become all the more powerful with each installment, hoping one day to satisfy his saints in the Avengers like Iron Man and Captain America.
Gearing up for the film’s release one month from now, Tom Holland as of late talked with Total Film (via GamesRadar) to offer some insight into Spider-Man: No Way Home. Holland says that his character has now “established himself as a significant powerful and genuine Avenger,” at this point in the movies, which will in turn impact his relationship with Doctor Strange. Read what Holland had to say underneath:
At this point in the movies, Spider-Man has established himself as a significant powerful and genuine Avenger. Specialist Strange sees that in him, and treats him like an equal. And throughout the film, their relationship breaks down.
Holland has recently said that No Way Home is the finish of the Homecoming franchise in its present structure, so it makes sense the film would finish Peter’s arc by going from a small-time crimefighter in New York City to solidifying him as one of Earth’s mightiest saints. Peter has battled alongside the Avengers before yet in Spider-Man: No Way Home, he may be powerful enough to best even any semblance of Doctor Strange. The degree of Spider-Man’s powers will be revealed when the film releases in theaters on December 17.
