Ikaris

Ikaris wouldn’t have joined the fight against Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Avengers: Endgame, says Eternals star Richard Madden. The MCU’s newest superhuman team is days away from debuting on screens. Since they are amazing immortals, there have been inquiries regarding the absence of the Eternals during the battle against the Mad Titan and his minions in the Infinity Saga. This is all put down to the fact that the Eternals are forbidden to interfere with human issues except if it has something to do with the Deviants, their malicious counterparts created by the Celestials.

While it’s been affirmed many occasions that the Eternals didn’t intervene in the fight against Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War or Avengers: Endgame because they’re forbidden by the Celestials to do as such, Madden says that may not have affected Ikaris’ behavior. In an interview with ComicBook, Madden said that Ikaris may have very much chosen to avoid the fight against the Mad Titan, regardless of whether the Eternals were allowed to participate. The star said the character experiences being “detached,” which may have prevented him from acting. Read his full remarks beneath:

“I couldn’t say whether Ikaris would have been similar to… Ikaris can now and then be detached and resemble, ‘Okay, what’s this person doing? All right. It’s not my issue to worry about, I’ll simply stand back.’ So I don’t have the foggiest idea what he would have done.”

Eternals will see the titular team assemble for their new mission, however it will be interesting to see where each of them will be at the finish of the narrative. While the Eternals operate as a team, disagreements are inevitable given the contrasts between the exceptionally large troupe bunch. In fact, their disparities may have very much been the reason why the legends split up in any case. Along these lines, after dealing with the Emergence, it’s entirely possible that the Eternals would by and by head out in a different direction.
