New Set Photo For Ant-Man 3 Shows Shooting Has Began

Ant-Man 3

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania director Peyton Reed takes to Twitter to announce the threequel’s filming start with a photo of the ugly bunny from the first film. The third installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series will see Paul Rudd return as Scott Lang, otherwise known as Ant-Man, alongside Evangeline Lily as Hope van Dyne, otherwise known as Wasp, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym and Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne. The film will also see Freaky star Kathryn Newton assume control over the job of Cassie Lang from Avengers: Endgame’s Emma Fuhrmann and Jonathan Majors carry on the job of Kang the Conqueror after his variant presentation in Disney+’s Loki.

On the heels of Comic-Con@Home finding some conclusion, Reed took to Twitter to share the intriguing news that essential photography has begun on Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania. To celebrate the occasion, the director shared a photo of Cassie’s ugly bunny doll Scott skilled to her in the first film. Look at the adorably hideous announcement below:

Given many fans are still faltering from the Loki season 1 finale surprise arrival of Majors’ He Who Remains and the swift setup for his arrival as Kang, the start of filming should come as interesting news. Furthermore, with well longer than 18 months to go until the film’s scheduled release date, Reed should have a very sizable amount of time to not only art the film’s novel story but also permit its cast members the chance to flex their comedic comedy skills for some moments of humorousness. With the high bar previously set by its predecessors, the continued confidence Marvel has in Reed and the cast as well as expanding its roster of writers to incorporate more out of the box voices absolutely makes the prequel one of the more long awaited in the MCU’s future schedule.

On top of the announcement of filming having begun, Reed’s photo of the ugly bunny doll on set of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is a decent tribute to the fans who have followed the films thus far. It also poses an interesting question of whether the doll will be covered up as a background Easter egg in the film or then again in the event that it hints towards the now-more established Cassie having a bigger job and moving towards becoming one of her courageous comic book counterparts. Only time will tell when the film hits theaters on February 17, 2023.
