Veteran movie producer John Carpenter has more stories for Kurt Russell’s Escape

Escape

Veteran movie producer John Carpenter has as of late said that he has more stories as a top priority for Kurt Russell’s Escape From New York character Snake Plissken. Carpenter, whose extensive resume started during the 1970s, was ready to make the sci-fi/action classic off the rear of the success of his 1978 thriller Halloween. All the more as of late, Carpenter returned as chief maker and consultant on 2018’s Halloween, an immediate heritage sequel to his unique thriller that disregarded the wide range of various sequels which came after it.

While Carpenter’s work seems to encounter a significant recovery, with the continuous continuation of the Halloween franchise, the movie producer’s psyche currently seems to turn around to another of his hit franchises. In a new meeting with Total Film, Carpenter has conceded that there still might be more in store for Russell’s iconic anti-saint. Look at what Carpenter needed to say beneath:

Veteran movie producer John Carpenter has more stories for Kurt Russell's Escape 2

“He’s a person that Kurt is passionately enamored with. He convinced me to do the sequel. There’s likely a third or perhaps fourth story about Snake. I couldn’t say whether we’ll at any point make it, however I feel that he deserves it.”

Rather than a reboot, an expected sequel, or sequels, which would see Russell get back to the job anyway would most likely be substantially more well gotten by fans. With Jamie Lee Curtis successfully getting back to her job of Laurie Strode in Carpenter’s Halloween franchise, there is no reason that Kurt Russell’s likely return as Snake Plissken would be any less celebrated. Almost certainly Escape From New York fans will keep their fingers crossed that Carpenter’s ideas for additional outings in the franchise start to advance into creation.
