David Harbor, who is set to play Alexei Shostakov, a.k.a. Red Guardian, in the impending Black Widow film, has said he couldn’t imagine anything better than to see his character face Captain America. Initially expected to be delivered in May 2020, Scarlett Johansson’s independent MCU excursion was postponed multiple times before at last getting a concurrent delivery date in theaters and on Disney+ Premiere Access one month from now. Early basic responses to the film are applauding it for the two its very much created activity successions and passionate center.

All the more as of late, at a public interview advancing the film, Deadline reports that the entertainer was inquired as to whether he might want to see his character possibly go head to head against Marvel’s First Avenger. Harbor was energetic about the thought, recommending a prequel film investigating his character’s relationship with Steve Rogers is “an extraordinary idea that could be investigated further.” Read Harbor’s full statement beneath:

What’s interesting about Alexei, you have this 25-year hole we don’t think about (in the film). We see him in Ohio and in the jail. Furthermore, even before the jail, some time ago he was the Red Guardian, he more likely than not set the suit back on. There is this timeframe where he has this load of anecdotes about his life. It’s problematic whether they’re genuine.

I do think the exemplary Cold War thing is a truly fun and amusing dynamic between these two people and the way that they came up like atomic warheads like in a weapons contest together.

While Alexei Shostakov meeting Steve Rogers appears as though a remote chance, another choice may for him to experience a more youthful Isaiah Bradley. During The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, crowds discovered that Steve Rogers was by all account not the only American trooper to go through the super-officer serum treatment, and Bradley was dynamic during the Korean War until he was detained for undertaking an unapproved salvage mission. Made life surprisingly difficult for Bradley gave Bucky Barnes in 1951, he would most likely be similarly as considerable a rival for Shostakov. In the mean time, MCU fans will almost certainly come to learn significantly more about Harbor’s Red Guardian when Black Widow debuts on July ninth.
