“We’re still in the edit. I was doing ADR for it two weeks ago. That’s the funny thing about these jobs—you wrap, but you’re not really done. So, I’ll probably be working on it until the end.”

Netflix has yet to announce an official release date, but Ortega teased that Season 2 will feature “a lot of horror references,” signaling a darker, more chilling storyline compared to the first season.

Horror Elements and Chilling Visuals Await Fans

One of the most intriguing details Ortega shared involved Pugsley Addams (played by Isaac Ordonez) in a spine-chilling scene.

“Visually, I can say we have some of the most fun we’ve ever had. There’s a frame of Pugsley rolling his eyes back with this contraption around his head—that’s all I can say—and it reminds me so much of Full Metal Jacket. It’s insane. So bizarre.”

She also revealed that one entire episode will pay tribute to classic slasher films, adding a thrilling twist to the already dark and gothic aesthetic of the show.

What’s Next for Wednesday? Season 3 Talks Begin

While Netflix has not yet confirmed a third season, Ortega hinted that discussions are already happening.

“With a show like that, you kind of want to get ahead of the game. So, I think they’re kind of messing around and throwing out ideas.”

Given the massive success of Wednesday, it’s no surprise that the creators are brainstorming potential future storylines. Fans remain hopeful that Netflix will officially greenlight Season 3 soon.
