Even though the season is coming to a close, it’s still not clear which teams will make it to the playoffs. Although it’s highly likely that the Denver Nuggets will finish as the top team in the Western Conference, the leading position in the Eastern Conference is still yet to be determined.
The number of games that each team has left to play in the current season
Some NBA teams have 17 games remaining in the season, while the others have between 13 to 16 games left to play. The Memphis Grizzlies, who will be missing Ja Morant for a few more games, and the Sacramento Kings also have 17 games left to play.
Below is a list of all the remaining teams in the current NBA season and the number of games they have left to play:
- 16 games: Phoenix Suns, Philadelphia 76ers, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, OKC Thunder, New Orleans Pelicans
- 15 games: Utah Jazz, Golden State Warriors, Portland Trail Blazers, Atlanta Hawks, Denver Nuggets, Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, Orlando Magic, Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, LA Lakers
- 14 games: Toronto Raptors, Minnesota Timberwolves, LA Clippers, Charlotte Hornets, NY Knicks, Miami Heat
The regular season of the NBA will end on April 9th and the play-in tournament will start two days later. The play-in tournament will end on April 14th, which is a day before the beginning of the NBA playoffs. The Conference Semifinals are set to begin on May 1st but there’s a possibility of being moved to late April. The Conference Finals will start in mid-May. The first match of the 2023 NBA Finals is scheduled to take place on June 1st, while the final game of the series will be played between June 9th (Game 4) and June 18th (Game 7).
