It’s a long-awaited reunion that fans have been yearning for – Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, and Nelly Furtado are back together after 16 years since their 2007 hit collaboration Give It to Me.” The trio has dropped a new single titled “Keep Going Up,” and it’s already creating waves in the music world.

Nelly Furtado, now 44, shared her excitement on Instagram, saying, “It’s here ⬆️🆙💕 ‘Keep Going Up’! Now available everywhere.” Timbaland, 51, also took to Instagram, exclaiming, “Let me be your DJ Labor Day Weekend🔥🚀 🔊 SONG OUT NOW 🎶 we finally here!”

“Keep Going Up” is an upbeat track that encapsulates the exhilarating feeling of finding happiness after personal struggles. Furtado’s soulful vocals express, “My new life’s much better than the old one. Now I’m laughing, remember I was broken.” Timberlake, 42, joins in, harmonizing with Furtado on the catchy chorus, “I keep goin’, I keep goin’, I keep goin’ up.”

A delightful nod to nostalgia occurs with a reference to Furtado and Timbaland’s 2006 hit “Promiscuous.” Timbaland opens “Keep Going Up” with a playful reference, asking, “How you been young lady? Does the feeling still drive you crazy?”

In addition to the release of the song, the trio surprised fans with a visualizer music video. The video captures behind-the-scenes moments of Timbaland, Timberlake, and Furtado in the recording studio. Furtado is seen sporting a stylish ensemble, while Timbaland and Timberlake sport T-shirts and caps. While they may not have been in the same physical space while recording, they still managed to capture the essence of their collaboration.

The video concludes on a heartwarming note, with Timbaland FaceTiming Furtado and then revealing Timberlake on the call. Furtado’s joyous reaction sums it up perfectly: “Oh my god! Woah, what’s going on? What up, killa? What! No way. How are you? This is crazy.”

Fans were treated to this surprise after Timbaland announced earlier in August that “Keep Going Up” would be released on September 1.

Timbaland has a history of producing hits for both Furtado and Timberlake, with tracks like “Say It Right” and “Cry Me a River” to his credit. Their latest collaboration proves that this dynamic trio still has the magic touch that made their earlier works unforgettable. The music world can’t wait to see what other surprises they have in store.
