M3gan hit the theatres worldwide this month, becoming an instant hit. The movie is about a girl named Cady who’s gifted an AI powered doll, ‘M3gan’ (Model 3 Generative Android) which can interact with humans, perform simple tasks and even provide emotional support if needed. Everything seems to be going well until the doll adapts to the situations and improves itself to the point that it starts taking independent decisions. It starts attacking everything that it believes a threat to it’s owner Cady. Movie takes viewers on a great ride.
M3gan’s box office domination
M3gan has grossed over 125 million dollars worldwide, more than half of it coming from US and Canada. It continues to smash the box office after it’s recent release in India and some other countries. Most of this week’s collection came from Brazil as per reports.
Not so pleased ‘Cady’
Actress Violet McGraw who’s starred as Cady in the film was originally paid $4K per week for the film as per the contract but according to the reports, the 11-year-old is now seeking an extra $150K after the movies box office success.
