Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent recently opened up about a terrifying moment during the birth of her second daughter, Sosa Kent. Sharing her emotional experience on her podcast, Give Them Lala, Kent revealed the intense fear she felt when her newborn “turned purple” after a speedy delivery.

Lala described how, during her final push, her doctor grew visibly anxious, fixated on the monitor as a nurse relayed vital information. Moments later, Kent learned that her baby’s umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck. After the delivery, when Sosa was placed on her chest, the baby let out only one cry and then fell silent. Nurses hurried to clear fluid from her daughter, and Lala, frozen in fear, avoided touching her newborn, afraid she might cause further harm.

Kent admitted feeling guilty, wondering if she had done something wrong during her pregnancy, which had otherwise been smooth. However, doctors assured her that she had done nothing wrong, explaining that Sosa had amniotic fluid in her lungs. While the scare was overwhelming, both mom and baby are now healthy.

Though the experience was terrifying, Lala is grateful that her daughter is doing well. The reality star continues to share her motherhood journey, connecting with fans on her podcast and social media, proving that even the most frightening moments can lead to relief and joy.
