According to streaming platform data, the K-drama maintained its top rank on the list for the second week in a row, virtually tripling the number of hours viewed from 23.9 million to 45.5 million from July 11 to 17.
This places Extraordinary Attorney Woo below the top two most-watched English shows on Netflix: Resident Evil (with 72.6 million hours viewed) and Stranger Things’ fourth season (which logged 102.3million hours viewed).
Extraordinary Attorney Woo is the story of a young lawyer with autism spectrum disorder who solves cases in innovative and unique ways. The Korean drama debuted on Netflix in June and has held the top spot in Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English TV charts for two weeks in a row. It holds the same position in South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, and it appears on Top 10 lists in 14 additional countries.

The first season of the Spanish series The Longest Night is second on Netflix’s list of the most popular non-English shows. Alchemy of Souls, which is fifth on the list with 14.6 million hours seen, Remarriage & Desires, which is ranked eighth with 11.1 million hours watched, and She Would Never Know, which is placed ninth after clocking 10.4 million hours watched, are other K-dramas on the list.
Director Yoo In-sik of Extraordinary Attorney Woo earlier this week expressed his appreciation for the enthusiastic reception to the courtroom drama. Yoo mentioned that the show received more support than they had anticipated in a recent interview with the director.
