The Glory Pt. 2 Full Review: Proven show stars Song Hye Kyo, Im Ji Yeon, Lee Do Hyun, and Jung Sung Il

Netflix has made the remaining episodes of The Glory available and we have some thoughts about it!

The Glory Pt. 2 Quick Overview

The Glory Pt. 2:

After our previous review of Episode 9, we will continue to review the rest of the story until the end, which is Episode 16. In the first part, the level of Song Hye Kyo’s character, Moon Dong Eun’s revenge, was starting. However, in Part 2, it goes full force, and viewers can see how she destroys the defenses of her bullies and those around them who helped them get away with their actions in the present times.

Moon Dong Eun vs Park Yeon Jin:

‘The Glory’ is a popular Netflix series that follows the story of a woman whose traumatic childhood experiences drive her to seek revenge against those who wronged her. The series has gained widespread attention, with even its dialogue being scrutinized. In Part 2, the main character, Moon Dong Eun (portrayed by Song Hye Kyo), continues her quest for revenge against her perpetrator, Weathercaster Park Yeon Jin (played by Im Ji Yeon). At the beginning of Part 2, Park Yeon Jin launches a counter-attack, posing a new threat to Moon Dong Eun. However, the tables soon turn, and Moon Dong Eun gains the upper hand, ultimately pushing Park Yeon Jin into a corner.

The rest of the Cast:

The second part of the series was more thrilling as the revenge plot unfolded. The connection between Park Yeon Jin and her accomplices, Jeon Jae Joon (Park Sung Hoon), Yi Sara (Kim Hieora), and Choi Hye Jung (Cha Joo Young), started to crumble, causing Park Yeon Jin to worry about the exposure of her past crimes. The once-solid wall of Park Yeon Jin, which Moon Dong Eun had previously questioned, ultimately weakened and collapsed.

Ha Do Young vs Jeon Jae Joon:

In this part of the drama, a significant plotline revolves around a custody battle between two fathers for their daughter, Ha Ye Sol. Jeon Jae Joon’s actions demonstrated his willingness to go to extreme lengths to protect his child, including physically assaulting a teacher who took inappropriate pictures of her. On the other hand, Ha Do Young emerged as the better father figure, as he was aware of his responsibilities and did everything possible to protect his daughter from harm. Although Jae Joon was unable to spend time with his daughter in this part of the story, it was evident that he deeply cared for her.

The Glory Pt. 2 Review:

The second part of the drama was not as exciting or engaging as the first part because it had to juggle too many elements and delve into the backstories of multiple characters. However, the most fulfilling aspect was seeing the downfall of the bullies and how easily Moon Dong Eun could manipulate them into self-destruction. It provided a glimpse into the privileged world of the wealthy and the network of people who shield them from the repercussions of their behavior.
