Jung Ji-so, who played the lead role in Netflix’s most recent blockbuster ‘The Glory,’ spoke about the show’s global success in the March issue of Cosmopolitan Korea.
The star talked about how compliments from the viewers are boosting her spirit. “It’s been ten years since I debuted and I’ve been in a lot of great productions, but I think The Glory is like none other. I feel a great sense of accomplishment when I get compliments for my acting. I’m proud of myself when I think, ‘I did my best, I’m learning, I’m not letting anyone down,’” she said.
When asked about how ‘The Glory’ has become a milestone in her career, the actress said, “I think The Glory has become a turning point for me as an actress. It’s because I’m receiving a lot of love. But I’m going to work as hard as I did before on my next work without getting drunk or being swayed by a lot of attention.”
Jung Ji-so talks about working with Song Hye Kyo
Jung talked about her experience meeting Song Hye Kyo, who played a character of a different age. “The energy was amazing. I was able to work on each and every word of my lines, and there was a sense of immersion. I was nervous just playing the same person as Song Hye Kyo. She treated me like a colleague, not as a child, which was so kind of her,” the actress said.
When asked about how the things have changed since her debut 10 years ago, Jung replied “”Thank you and I’m confused. But I won’t be too excited and I will work harder.” Jung Ji So then talked about her future plans, “I wonder if I’ll have a goal when I go into the next drama/film. I try not to set specific goals like what kind of actor I want to be, what kind of impression I want to give. I always do my best in the given situation and fulfil my role.”
