Na Young Suk, the producer of Seojin’s Kitchen, recently shared some interesting behind-the-scenes stories on how he was able to cast BTS’s V on the show. During a production presentation on Wednesday, Na revealed that he first met Taehyung, popularly known as V, on ‘Game Caterers.’

The producer detailed, “I first met Taehyung on ‘Game Caterers.’ At that time, he won a voucher from the show, and it was a ‘ticket that allows V to wreck a program.” The voucher allows V to appear on any program produced by Na.

Young Suk further added, “This was a voucher I gave as a joke and I thought Taehyung took it as a joke too. But a while later, someone gave me information that Taehyung kept that voucher in his closet. So, after I received that tip, I thought ‘maybe he had this type of program in mind’ and I contacted him. Luckily, he was happy to accept the offer.”

V then responded, “I don’t know where he got the information because producer Na doesn’t even know where my house is, but I really have that voucher. Also, I am not using that ticket for this show. They cast me for the show so I decided to appear. I still have the voucher to use.”

‘In BTS, I am one of the worst cooks’

V went on to share that he’s not so good at cooking when compared to his bandmates. “In BTS, I am one of the worst cooks. I usually clean up after so I thought I would be told to do the serving but I was told to cook. So I came to learn that cooking really isn’t easy but I also learned that cooking can be fun. It was really hard.” V further added, “I think I had to get three IV fluids after flying back home. I hope everyone enjoys watching the show.”

After the premiere on February 24 at 8.50 PM KST, ‘Seojin’s Kitchen’ recorded an impressive national average rating of 8.8%.
