All the members of LOONA have reportedly decided to end their contracts with BlockBerry Creative in response to recent actions against Chuu.

Joining the other members of the band in battle against their current label BlockBerry Creative, Hyunjin and Vivi too have officially filed for the nullification of their exclusive contracts.

As per the JTBC reports, Hyunjin and Vivi share almost the same contracts as their bandmates Heejin, Kim Lip, JinSoul and Choerry whose contracts were already suspended successfully by the court earlier this month. In contrast to these four, the court has ruled against HaSeul, YeoJin, Yves, Go Won and Olivia Hye which implies that they’re obliged to follow the original exclusive contracts with the label. JTBC also claims that these five members are obliged to stay under the label because of the side contract they have signed with the company in the latter half of 2021.

What happened to Chuu?

Former band member Chuu, first stepped up the court against BlockBerry Creative in the latter half of 2021 citing unfair division of costs and fees as the reason. The court ruled in favor of Chuu and the singer was given full freedom to make modifications to her exclusive contract according to her will. She then started to pursue solo activities without having to share her profits with the label. Later in October 2022, Chuu was dismissed from the band after filing for the suspension of the contract.

Now the agency has filed a petition to ban the singer from any entertainment activities alleging to tamper with BY4M, the label under which the singer is working at the moment.

Apparently the label is planning to file similar petitions against other members of the band who have received favorable judgements in the court. Chuu strongly condemned the allegations made against her by calling them false and promised to release an official statement soon.
