Korean Singer Kim Chungha reportedly parted ways with MNH Entertainment as the soloist denied the renewal of her contract with the agency.

As per reports, Chungha isn’t very happy at the current agency and wants to leave as soon as her contract ends in March 2023.

The 26-year-old made her debut as a member of I.O.I through Mnet’s “Produce 101 Season 1” in 2016. She later became a soloist under MNH after the group disbanded in January 2017. She has worked in various fields and made appearances on several shows for the MNH.

While reason for not signing the contract is yet to be known, a source says, “Kim loves to thrive in new environment as she considers the current agency, MNH as her comfort zone and she wants a change”

What’s Chungha’s next move?

Chungha becomes free to join any label once her contract with MNH ends this March. So it’s safe to assume the singer continues her solo career no matter what. The MNH is yet to respond on this issue and confirm the truths. There are many options for Chungha if she decides to leave MNH such as joining a prestigious agency or even starting her own!

Kim’s last album was in July last year. The album, titled ‘Bare&Rare, Pt.1’ has thrilled the fans with dark, tense and sexy vibes with the exception of title track, ‘Sparklin’ which gave fun-pop vibes. The fans have been waiting for the second part since then but in an announcement that was made on a live show, the singer revealed that the next one was postponed inevitably due to “company’s condition again.”

The singer expressed her frustration towards the agency on multiple occasions. So even though the news might come as a surprise, this is not something that fans haven’t foreseen.
