Kanye West Yanks Earpiece and Storms Off Mid-Interview – Piers Morgan Reacts

Kanye West Storms Out of Piers Morgan Interview After Heated Exchange

The rapper cut the interview short, yanked his earpiece, and walked off – Morgan calls him a "big baby"

An Interview Gone Off the Rails

Kanye West (Ye) is once again in the headlines – not for his music, but for another public meltdown. The rapper’s live interview with British journalist Piers Morgan took a dramatic turn when Ye suddenly cut the session short and stormed off the set.

The May 6 interview was meant to promote Kanye’s new album, Bully, but instead, it became a viral spectacle after the rapper refused to continue and pulled out mid-conversation.

What Actually Happened on the Call?

According to TMZ, Ye joined the live interview with controversial streamer Sneako, who was apparently moderating the chat between the artist and Morgan. But things quickly went south.

Midway through the discussion, Kanye allegedly declared that he wouldn’t answer any more questions, telling Morgan bluntly that he’d have to “accept that.”

Soon after, the rapper pulled off his earpiece and physically moved away from the screen, effectively ending the chat. Sneako attempted to do some damage control, explaining to Morgan which question may have hurt Kanye’s feelings.

The exact question that triggered the walkout hasn’t been publicly revealed yet.

Piers Morgan Reacts: “Like a Big Baby”

Not one to stay silent, Piers Morgan quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the unexpected walkout. Sharing a screenshot from the interview, Morgan wrote:

“As I expected, given what I’ve said about him recently, it didn’t last long or go well.”

He then added that Kanye “stomped off like a big baby,” clearly unimpressed with the rapper’s behavior during the interview.

Morgan did not clarify which part of the conversation provoked Ye, but the tone suggests it was a sensitive subject for the rapper.

Both Sides Now Airing Dirty Laundry Online

Since the failed interview, both Kanye and Piers have used their respective platforms to offer very different versions of the story. TMZ reports that both men have resorted to indirect jabs and public statements, defending their own actions and blaming the other for the incident.

This isn’t the first time the two have clashed. In the past, Morgan has criticized Ye for his controversial social media behavior and comments on sensitive topics.

Ye Was Likely Promoting His New Album, Bully

Insiders believe the purpose of the interview was to promote Kanye’s latest album Bully. But instead of hyping up his music, Ye is once again trending for all the wrong reasons.

His new music has taken a backseat as the rapper continues to dominate headlines with his unpredictable interviews, online rants, and personal drama.

Ye & Bianco Censori Drama Adds Fuel to the Fire

In addition to the interview controversy, Kanye’s personal life has also been in the spotlight. He is reportedly going through a messy divorce with his wife Bianco Censori, whom he married after his split from Kim Kardashian.

Their relationship has stirred backlash ever since their outrageous appearance at the 2025 Grammys, where their fashion choices and public behavior sparked online outrage.

Met Gala Snub: Kanye Not on the Guest List

Adding to the drama, Ye was not invited to the 2025 Met Gala. According to sources, Anna Wintour, the iconic Vogue editor and Met Gala co-chair, allegedly ramped up security this year to prevent uninvited guests.

Reports suggest that West’s name was among those explicitly barred from the star-studded event due to his recent controversies and disruptive public appearances.

Fans React to the Walkout

Social media exploded after the clip of Kanye storming out went viral:

  • “Same Kanye, different meltdown.”
  • “Piers Morgan triggered him bad, huh?”
  • “Why even agree to interviews if you won’t answer questions?”
  • “He needs to promote his album, not his drama.”

While some fans defended Ye, saying he has the right to walk away if disrespected, many criticized his behavior as immature and attention-seeking.

Kanye West has long been known for his raw, unfiltered personality and controversial views. But his latest interview walkout only adds to the growing narrative that Ye is more focused on creating chaos than promoting art.

Whether this stunt helps or hurts his new album Bully remains to be seen. One thing’s for sure – when it comes to Kanye West, drama is always just one interview away.
