Jesy Nelson's Twins at Risk? Singer Reveals Scary Pregnancy Complication and Emergency Surgery

Jesy Nelson Shares Emotional Update From Hospital After High-Risk Surgery for Twins

Singer Jesy Nelson is fighting through a high-risk pregnancy with strength, hope, and gratitude — and she just gave fans a moving update straight from her hospital bed.

"We’re So Grateful They’re Still Holding On"

Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson is currently hospitalized due to a rare and dangerous complication in her pregnancy. But in a new emotional video shared on April 6, Jesy assured fans that both her unborn twins are still going strong — and she couldn't be more thankful.

Clad in flamingo-print pajamas and gently cradling her baby bump, Jesy appeared on camera alongside her partner Zion Foster. The couple expressed gratitude for the love they’ve received and revealed the twins have made it another week despite the ongoing risks.

“We just wanted to come on here because we are another week further along and we feel so grateful and blessed that these little babies are still going strong,” Jesy said, holding back tears.

The Diagnosis: What Is TTTS?

Jesy revealed that she’s expecting monochorionic diamniotic twins — meaning they share one placenta but have separate amniotic sacs. While this is already considered a high-risk pregnancy, a serious complication made things even scarier.

Doctors diagnosed the babies with Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS), a rare condition where one baby starts receiving more blood flow than the other. If untreated, TTTS can lead to organ failure or even death for one or both babies.

“One baby might take all the nutrients from the placenta, or the other might, which... could lead to both babies dying,” Jesy tearfully explained in an earlier video.

Life-Saving Surgery

Jesy was rushed to the hospital in late March after experiencing symptoms like stomach tightening and difficulty breathing. Medical teams quickly determined that surgery was necessary to correct the TTTS and give both twins a fighting chance.

She underwent an emergency procedure — and thankfully, it worked.

“The TTTS has cleared up. The operation was a success, which is just absolutely incredible,” Jesy said in a hopeful Mother’s Day update.

Still in Hospital, But Staying Strong

Despite the successful surgery, Jesy is still being closely monitored to prevent early labor, another major risk in twin pregnancies. She’s not allowed to leave the hospital but says Zion occasionally takes her out in a wheelchair to get some fresh air.

“We can’t really go outside... Well, Zion takes me down the road in the wheelchair, but that’s about it,” she shared.

The couple is taking things one week at a time, praying for the twins to stay inside long enough for a healthy delivery.

“Every week, we’re like, please, please stay in there,” Jesy added.

Fans Show Their Support

Jesy has been open about the emotional rollercoaster she's been on since first announcing her pregnancy with Zion in January. The response from fans has been overwhelmingly positive, with thousands flooding her comments with love and well-wishes.

“You guys have been so lovely,” Jesy said. “It’s just really helped us keep going.”

What’s Next for Jesy and Zion?

While her music career is on pause, Jesy’s top priority is getting through the pregnancy safely. Zion, a fellow musician, has been by her side throughout the ordeal, offering support and taking care of Jesy during her hospital stay.

There’s no confirmed due date yet, but fans are hopeful for more good news in the coming weeks as the couple continues their journey.

Jesy has promised to keep everyone updated with their story — and fans will be watching every step of the way.
