House of the Dragon to End with Season 4, Season 3 to Begin Production in Early 2025

House of the Dragon is sweeping the air with its complex political drama and stunning visuals. As a prequel to Game of Thrones, it documents the Targaryen dynasty's descent into civil war, or as they term it, the Dance of the Dragons. But since Season 3 has not yet been confirmed officially, Westeros is still on high alert for what's next.

Possible Plotlines

If Season 3 takes place, probably the storyline would delve much deeper into the effects of the Dance of Dragons. Targaryen family is broken, and the kingdom has to reconcile from the devastating war. New alliances and rivalries might be formed as power jostles between the survivors of the conflict.

The series may also try to trace the future effects of the war, such as the fall of the Targaryen house and the dominance of the rising greater houses. The dragons, once a symbol of the power of the Targaryens, are significantly fewer in number, marking the beginning of a darker age.

Cast and Characters

Several major stars of Season 2 will feature in Season 3, including:

Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen
Emma D'Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen
Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen
Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower
Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower
Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon
Fabien Frankel as Criston Cole
New characters to the show may also be brought in, which will extend the world of Westeros and may even add new layers to the story.

What To Look Out For

Expecting the same politics, character-driven story, and epic battles as done very well in Season 1 and 2, Season 3 should carry this on if it pushes forward. Most likely to continue delving into the intricacies of power, loyalty, and family in Westeros.
