Story
Marvel fans are not too familiar with Thunderbolts’ new team of antiheroes, which is a dark twist on the superhero genre. Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), a reclusive government official, forms a group of strong supervillains to execute dangerous missions that the official military is unable to complete. The drawback? If they are successful, they may be able to get their freedom. If they fail, an even more dire fate awaits them.
Plot Summary
Thunderbolts is a daring new series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that centers on a group of reformed supervillains who are chosen for a dangerous mission by a mysterious government official. This unlikely team must navigate their complicated pasts and learn to cooperate as they take on a formidable new foe. They are tasked with taking on threats too dangerous for traditional heroes.
The plot starts when a mysterious and powerful government official gathers a group of supervillains to conduct a clandestine operation. The goal of this operation is to infiltrate a worldwide security-threatening criminal syndicate. There is tension mixed with reluctance to bond among the Thunderbolts because each member brings special talents and baggage to the group.
The Thunderbolts face moral quandaries and internal strife in addition to external threats as they set out on their mission. They are forced to face their personal demons, form surprising friendships, and determine whether or not their pasts will ultimately define them on this journey.
