Story
In the eerie horror movie Thread: An Insidious Tale, Kumail Nanjiani’s character, renowned psychologist Dr. Alex Reed, is thrown into a terrifying journey while looking into a string of unexplainable events connected to an enigmatic artifact. The relic is an old relic associated with astral projection, and anyone who comes into contact with it appears to be experiencing violent disturbances and strange happenings.
Through his research, Dr. Reed learns the disturbing truth about the origins of the relic. It is said that the artifact, called the “Thread,” serves as a conduit between the evil spiritual realm and the material world. He meets Emily Foster (Mandy Moore), a paranormal investigator whose tragic past is entwined with the sinister past of the artifact, as he digs deeper. Together, they have to work through a maze of lies and discover dark secrets that endanger not just their lives but also reality itself.
Dr. Reed and Emily must work quickly to cut the “Thread” before it is too late because as the artifact’s power increases, the lines between the supernatural and the real world start to blur. As the film approaches its terrifying conclusion, viewers are left wondering about the nature of reality itself as the lines dividing the living and the dead are questioned.
Plot Summary
