Story
Mark Wahlberg portrays Joe Reynolds in “The Union,” a film about a skilled but modest construction worker whose life abruptly changes when he is thrown into the dangerous world of espionage. Plot
“The Union” tells the tale of Jack Henderson (Mark Wahlberg), a competent but modest construction worker whose life drastically changes when CIA agent Sarah Adams (Halle Berry), his high school sweetheart, reappears. Jack finds himself thrust into a dangerous world of international intrigue, espionage, and danger when Sarah enlists him for a crucial US intelligence mission.
Jack reluctantly learns to navigate this new reality and unearths layers of conspiracy that pose a threat to international security. Jack has to rely on his gut feeling and newly acquired abilities to uncover the truth about “The Union,” a covert organization that wants to change the global order, since there are enemies waiting around every corner, including the vicious mercenary Viktor Kozlov (Mike Colter).
Jack races against time to stop a catastrophic event that could change the course of history, aided by a team of operatives that includes the mysterious handler Agent Kingsley (J.K. Simmons), tech specialist Dr. Lydia Park (Alice Lee), and field agent Samantha Holt (Jessica De Gouw).
