Story
The exciting action-horror movie The Prey from 2024 pays homage to the action and horror masterpieces from the 1980s. Franklin Correa is the director and writer of the film, which pays homage to the gritty, suspenseful movies of the past while incorporating contemporary elements.
The movie opens with a flashback that introduces us to legendary tracker and army veteran BJ Vega (Robert D. Parham). Best friends with Steven, Louie (HB Gibson) is a low-life drunk and gambler who owes a lot of money to a local bookie named Lefty Jr. (Donald Charles). Louie convinces Steven to join him when he offers Steven the chance to pay off his debt and earn $10,000 in exchange for helping with an apparently simple task. Tracking wildlife in a remote area is part of the task, but as Steven begins his hunt, he notices that there are no signs of wildlife, which makes him suspicious.
Steven and Louie are stranded in a terrifying situation as night falls. When the Wendigo clan makes their true intentions known, the hunt turns into a deadly game in which survival depends on the outcome. To outwit the Wendigo and preserve both his and Louie’s lives, Steven will need to employ all of his cunning and survival expertise.

Plot

Parham’s character, legendary tracker and army veteran BJ Vega, who is hired for what looks to be an ordinary hunting trip. But as BJ ventures farther into the wild, he begins to smell evil and makes the decision to run. The revelation occurs when he runs into Gregory DePetro, a.k.a. the Overseer, who is the leader of a cunning Wendigo clan. This encounter results in a lethal confrontation that frees BJ.
