Story

In “The DéMON,” a terrifying horror-thriller, Tom (played by Tyler Q Rosen) is plagued by the trauma his father’s suicide left behind. Tom withdraws to the remote lakeside cottage where his father took his own life, leaving behind his wife Kathy (Sara Fletcher) and their life together. The idyllic setting swiftly turns into a nightmare when Tom’s early memories come back, entwined with a powerful force that has been dormant beneath the lake’s luringly placid waters for ages.

It becomes harder to distinguish between madness and reality as Tom retreats deeper into his own thoughts. Tom is being pursued by the same malevolent force that once devoured his father. Kathy contacts her brother Mark (Oscar Wilson), a troubled businessman dealing with personal issues, out of desperation and fearing the worst. Reluctant to participate in the rescue attempt, Mark’s wife Jess (Adriana Isabel), a trauma and grief counselor, realizes that what is ahead is nothing compared to what is to come.

They have no idea that the lake is home to a force that thrives on the grief and terror of those who approach it. Kathy, Mark, and Jess must face not only the evil entity but also their own personal traumas that render them susceptible to its influence, as Tom turns into a vessel for this age-old evil. Not everyone will be able to resist the lake’s pull, but it is calling.

Plot Summary

Tom, devastated by his father’s suicide, abandons his wife and escapes to the remote lakeside cottage where his father died. As he retreats into solitude, the dark memories of his childhood, tied to the lake’s mysterious depths, begin to resurface. Tom becomes obsessed with an ancient force lurking in the lake, driving him toward madness. His communication with the outside world slowly fades, leaving his wife Kathy desperate and worried.

Kathy, fearing for her husband’s sanity, enlists the help of her brother Mark, a struggling entrepreneur, and his wife Jess, an inexperienced trauma and grief counselor. The trio arrives at the cottage, unaware of the malevolent force that has already taken hold of Tom. As they delve deeper into the secrets of the lake and Tom’s past, they discover that the same evil that consumed Tom’s father is now poised to destroy them all. The lake calls, and its dark powers won’t be denied.
