Plot Summary

The protagonist of “The Amateur” is Jack Morgan (played by Laurence Fishburne), a gifted CIA cryptographer whose life is completely upended when a vicious terrorist organization in London kills his wife. Using his deep understanding of their cryptography systems, he demands their assistance in preparing him for the role of an operative.
