Story
Chris’s life now consists of cries from the babies, restless nights, and a divorced wife. His weariness and lack of emotional support drive him to turn to the internet for comfort. He thinks he has found someone who gets him when he matches with Adra. However, Chris soon finds himself entangled in a terrifying web as the enigmatic Adra starts to reveal her actual self. Chris has to face the possibility that Adra is a succubus, a demonic entity preying on his weaknesses, as paranormal events start to spiral out of control. His battle to break free from her grasp will put his strength, sanity, and ultimately his desire to keep his family safe to the test.
Plot Summary
The unsettling journey of Chris, a newly born father struggling with emotional insecurities, tiredness, and the enormous demands of parenthood, is chronicled in Succubus. Chris finds comfort, or so he believes, in a dating app as his marriage is on the verge of disintegrating. He swipes right on the mysterious and seductive Adra, desperate for validation and connection. However, as Chris starts to worry that Adra might not be completely human, their relationship takes a sinister turn. Chris finds himself drawn into a terrifying realm where the boundaries between the supernatural and reality are hazy, as he struggles to distinguish between his own rapidly worsening mental state and the paranormal activities going on all around him. His interactions with Adra quickly make clear a sinister force that poses a threat to his life as well as the lives of those he holds dear.
