Storyline
Former indie rock singer Eve Miller struggles to overcome her toxic marriage. She finds herself at a turning point in her feelings as she grows more attracted to a music journalist. At the same time, her sister Maggie, a best-selling author, manages her own marital difficulties as her rising profession starts to eclipse her husband’s goals. The movie looks at issues like marital discord, personal development, and the challenges of juggling relationships and a career.
Plot Summary
Eve Miller (Morena Baccarin), who was formerly a successful indie rock musician, is currently deeply ingrained in a toxic and unchanging marriage to Andy (Edward Burns). When she begins to feel something for Nick (Campbell Scott), a captivating music journalist who questions her about her past and present, her life takes an unexpected turn. While Eve is negotiating this unfamiliar emotional landscape, her well-known bestselling author sister Maggie (Julianna Margulies) is also dealing with marital difficulties of her own. Maggie’s husband Dennis (Brian d’Arcy James) feels underappreciated and overshadowed by her career success, which starts to cause problems in their marriage. Both sisters must confront their personal issues and decide whether their current paths lead to redemption or further despair.
